# Offline Maps

### Downloading a map

1. Tap the "Download" button when viewing a map.
2. Zoom the map to the area you want to download.
3. Tap "Download" to start the download.

### Using an offline map

When Backtrack detects that you don't have an internet connection, it will show the offline maps you have downloaded. You can view one by tapping on it.

Any layers that were enabled when the map was downloaded will be available offline.

### Managing downloads

You can view how much space your downloads are taking up in settings.
